Re: Strictly Z Aluminum Pedals - Installation Help!

I finished installing my pedals last night....

GOD DAMN DO THEY LOOK GOOD!

Why this car didn't come with these in the first place is beyond me.... Secondly, I had absolutely no problem reusing the old clip. With shipping, the pedals came to about $102 off of www.strictlyz.com... How much are they from Grubbs?

Grubbs has them with the clip for 74.99 plus about $10 shipping, and they do include the new clip, just in case you need it.

Re: Strictly Z Aluminum Pedals - Installation Help!

This was my point. Grubbs is the same price or less and includes all necessary parts! So, StrictlyZ is overpriced on this by not including all part.
Why mickey mouse the install with the old clip? Having to cut off something from an old part in order to install a new part is just plain mickey mouse; particlulary when the necessary part is available. Yes, you can use the old clip but you really have to be careful taking the old gas pedal off the car in order to keep from damaging it (it's plastic); and then when cutting it off the pedal. Also once you cut it off, the old gas pedal is damaged (I don't know why you would use it again, but why mess up a perfactly good part?).

I totally agree gsg....

If I would have looked around a little more first, I would have bought from Grubbs.... However, my girlfriend bought these for me for my birthday, so it was a little out of my control... But they are installed and now I am onto the next mod.... Gotta get a new Intake....

Re: Strictly Z Aluminum Pedals - Installation Help!

what are u talking about? u dont have to cut anything off. the clip is a plastic snap that u just pry off. possible that it could break, but i doubt it. if anything it would make the snap easier to pop back on. it took alot of pressure to snap the new one on. but your point is well taken, strictly z should include it anyway, especially since they charge about $15 more then grubbs.

don't start no sh*t, won't be no sh*t!

Re: Strictly Z Aluminum Pedals - Installation Help!

Since the pedals that I ordered from Strictly Z did not come with a clip, I had to use the old clip from the gas pedal. And I could not snap it off, so I had to use a razor blade to cut it off, and then shave it down so that it could snap on the aluminum pedal....
