when is it a good time to get your car tuned these days anyways?

I don't know what you guys are doing to get such bad mileage. My worst tank was the first one, at 19.5 mpg. I drive on the interstate at 75-80 a lot and usually get 24-25 mpg (have gotten as high as 27). If I drive locally, it's usually 21-22 mpg. I have an '05 5AT.

If your car is not warmed up, it will run rich. The short trips are probably consuming a large amount of fuel...but not enough that you should be getting 13mpg.
