I have an 06 6mt premium. How do I know if I have rear active steering? I want to find out before I get the HKS Hi-flow.

 

you will know, by looking at the window sticker.

 

if you don't see a RAS light on your cluster then u dont have it

when you turn the power on it should show

 

My window sticker said RAS, but theres no light turned on the cluster gauge that says RAS...

 

wait....if you have RAS, you can't install the HKS Hi-Flow Exhaust??

 

There are very few exhaust setups that will fit with RAS.
I know Tony at Fast Intentions will custom bend one for you but you need to physically be there for that to happen.
You'll probably have to go with some kind of custom work.

Yep,,, RAS will light up on the dash when you start the car...

I was completely unaware of this. (duh!) HKS was too loud for my taste and I never researched it. Good to know.
There needs to be a sticky in the exhaust forum about compatibility. There's a serious lack of information out there.

 

I have an 06 coupe and the RAS does not light up when I start the car. But when i look closely, there is a RAS sign in the instrument cluster. So, do i have RAS????

if RAS doesn't light up, then you do not have RAS... Plus, if you didn't ask for RAS when you purchased your car brand new, then you didn't get RAS.. Dealer don't usually toss those in for FREE.

I have RAS and driven a G w/o RAS.. everything else was identical.. The difference was night and day at high speed. Changing lanes, taking a tight corner, all felt more "stable" with RAS.

Is it worth the extra $$$? Nope.. But I just added RAS anyways because i got everything thing else.. Navi, premium, sports, 6mt, etc. etc.. Might as well go all out.
