You should analyze what you will be using the car for the most. If you live in a big city with lots of traffic everyday, then you may want to reconsider a manual. Otherwise, a manual is much more fun to drive.

I live in NYC and most of my driving is at night and/or weekends because I go to school and work using the train. And I dont want to regret it later on, especially since thats what everyone I know says.

Basically, The people who dont know how to drive stick tell me NOT to do it.
The people who do, tell me to go for it.

You should not listen to either then. :-) NYC is a pain to drive in, no matter when IMO. If I lived in NYC, I'd get an auto.

sure should get a 6MT, but it's better to learn stick driving a crappy car first....so better to borrow friend's civic, and just practice and practice....you'll do great!

I've been driving in NYC for over 12 yrs and all of my car are Stick. Like I said it's either you're a stick kinda guy or not. If you're 50+yrs old then I can see that you might prefer Auto but for a young guy

bottom line if my wife can learn how to drive a Manual then I'm pretty sure everyone can It's much harder if you're starting to learn to drive and starting with a stick shift

alright, like you said earlier, you know alot about cars but you dont know how to drive stick. if you know alot about cars, that most likely means that your an enthusiast, and that once you learn to drive stick, you'll HATE auto. Trust me and pleaseeeee get the stick, Dont be a puss!

i learned on my 6mt right after giving back my 5at

i hated the first month but now i love my g35 6mt, automatic was fun for racing around and ripping the roads.

6mt gives u a different experience, its all about driving calm and enjoying the ride... i love it
