very true.

If everyone wanted a color that just "stood out" they would have all painted their cars taxi cab yellow. To me a balance between how a color stands out and how classy it looks are the two most important things.

I think when people have color changing paint on their cobras it really stands out, but it makes it look cheap and plasticish.

LS is great because its almost a wet metal look but its still very classy. CB definitely stands out a lot but as far as class goes, its not too hot. DG is classy in a way, but def doesnt stand out.

First of all, this is absolutely a personal preference. If everyone thought that DG was boring and that LR was the best color then everyone would have LR.

I don't consider any color "boring". Different colors just have different personalities. The reason I chose DG was because it is a more subdued color that I think gived it a stylish, classy, low-key look. I dont want a car that stands out like Paris Hilton at an overeaters anonymous convention. Does that make the car "boring", maybe in some eyes but I wouldn't change it.

Btw, my second choice was black.

I really considered DG for a while. In the end, it came down to me wanting to go with a black/white theme. Then I started to realize how much the DG would blend in with the road. Not a bad thing, just not my thing for the coupe.

I never got to look at the IP in person until my coupe arrived. Needless to say, I was blown away by the glowing pearl and was very happy I went with it.

I have seen some really great looking DG coupes. If it was a darker, more metallic graphite, the choice would have been very hard for me.
