shaking and rattling

hey everyone i recently notice that when i drive my car and i touch the 75mph mark my wheel will start to shake and vibrate and when i step on my brakes it will do the samething just a little harder.... the wheel alignment is straight... anyone knows what can be the problem?

also when i hold my shifter(automatic btw) while im driving ill feel a rattle in it? any ideas what that can be?

The steering wheel? Your brake rotors may be off or you may have a wheel balance issue. The dealer should be able to check it out for you.

almost positive the wheels need to be balanced again (probably high speed balance).. if its vibrating when u hit the brakes, then your brake pads are probably worn out and probably digging into your rotors.. screw the dealer they charge too much for this petty stuff... go to local mechanic and let them drive it.

nah not really.. i have 12k miles on it now and the dealer, last time when i bought it in for something stupid, told me i should replace it soon... and they told me that last december so ill look into it now. It all just depends on how you drive and how hard/often you brake.
