Leased G and Fixing Outside of Dealership
Leased G and Fixing Outside of Dealership
Does anyone know how this goes? Lets say someone rubs their bumper onto yours and takes the paint off. Now you bring it to someone outside of dealership to repaint panel and they seem to do it right by getting color code and blending in. Are the stealerships **** about that and try to find things and penalize you for it. I would be under the impression that Infiniti lease states that as a leaser you are responsible for excess wear and tear. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
I understand your concern. As long as it looks good when you
return it, your fine. But if that paint example is all messed up like
someone did it in there garage. your screwed.
wear n tear items like brakes tires could be a penalty unless
your speaking with the correct person or going into another
car by that maker.

Ok, thanks I think all should be good then. Yes, it is a professional shop opened for 13 years and not done in my neighbors garage. The fact that it is a leased car was definitely reiterated prior to the car going in for a bumper repaint in the shop. My concern was that it blends in properly and barely noticeable unless it was under the microscope. Apparently, i am not the first that the shop had tended to (leased car, repainted body part). I read up on the inifiniti finance FAQ that the car will be inspected by a 3rd party and was hoping it would not come up and then have the dealership come back at me for it.

2 of my company cars are through IFS and we did not have any issues with
returns. Typical tire wear was the biggest concern

I doubt that would be acceptable (without penalty).....but why not remove the turbo and get $$$ back on it privately?

you would have to find a dealership that will buy it out of the lease, they wont give you much for it because legally the dealer cant smog it (if that apply's in your state) and have to wholesale the car off or at auction...
