Finally got around to getting my clear bra kit installed on my DG G35 coupe (Waiting for an FX kit!!!). Pictures are now on our G35 website:

Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions. This kit is the Xpel pattern available from Invisiguard and was the Avery material. This kit is for experiences installers only, luckily, the guy I got was very good and had the right tools, a large squeegee is definitely needed!

 

How much does a clear bra cost and how long do they generally last before they get stained or dinged or do they?

 

Depends on the vehicle on the G35 they run $400-$500 installed from what I gather. They don't yellow, they don't ding, they simply save your paint again and again and again... don't know why everyone doesn't use these...

KenDude. This is off topic, but I've seen your posts about the color choices on the G35 Coupe and think it's interesting what you did. You got black on your FX45? I saw a FX45 in the DG (or type color) and actually prefer it to the black on that car (truck). Plus.. If you're worried about keeping a car clean when it's black, man.. The FX45 would be a total bitch to keep up in black IMO.

BTW.. I do love that clear bra. What do you do if you want to ever remove it though? Is it on there permantly?

was also wondering how the clear bra would look if you freshly waxed/polished the car and not the bra, also... what if you put wax/polish on the bra itself does it discolor????

You can wax the clear bra directly and it adds shine just like it would to paint. It doesn't help to wax underneath it because the cleaning solution they wipe your car down with and the adhesive activator are likely to remove most/all of it, but I do anyway figuring it can't hurt right?

I just Zaino'd the whole car this weekend including the clear bra, looks great!

 

Ken, I was thinking about purchasing the Zaino product. How much of a difference did it make to your paint job after the first application? Provide pic if you can.

The Infiniti dealership in my area (Harper Infiniti, Knoxville) will sell/install the invisible bra for around $300.

Wouldn't go to the dealer, they'll ding you pretty good for being a middle man. They just locate the local clear bra company which is something you can track down yourself. Since the bra guys go to dealers to perform jobs, you may be able to get them to come to you, as well. ...dean
