Will they negotiate on the price?

Hi, i'm planning on buying a new 2004 G35 coupe tommorrow with 6spd, leather, sunroof, and perf. tire package. The msrp on this setup is $33,995. I know these cars are really hot, but do u think the dealership is willing to negotiate on the price? i would love nothing more than to own this beautiful car but it would be icing on the cake to pay the lowest price as possible. I live in the L.A. area if that takes into any account. Thanks for the help.
and i hope i can get the car of my "reality" dream.
Nik.

Re: Will they negotiate on the price?

I just replied you on the other post... So far I haven't had any luck... I think 200~500 off MSRP is considered "good".. with your SPEC, good luck finding a car.. They don't really have that many Manual...

I am going to buy mine next weekend and I will have AT and everything.. Navi + Tire option is gonna be hard to find.. Hopefully I will not need to wait 3+ months for an "order", which I think is pathetic (I would wait for a Porche 911, SL55, something like that, to be honest)

Let me know which dealorship you recommand too...
If you live near Irvine, try talk with Alan Moore at Costa Mesa Infiniti.. He seemed a really nice guy.. I will start my deal next weekend when my financial consultants (my dad and mom duh) are ready to buy the car with me =)

If you're getting a 6 speed, then there is no need for the performance tire package because it's already included.

That package is only for the automatics.

Re: Will they negotiate on the price?

I'm going to the Mission Viejo Infiniti dealership because it has the most coupes available, 54 of em, in the So Cal area. I checked up on Infiniti's website for that figure. With so many coupes available i was thinking maybe the price might be negotiable but i'll see what happens. And for some reason the Infiniti's site added the performance package for $900. I thought that was weird, but the msrp was still the same $32.***. In fact, i saw some 6spd leather coupes for $31,*** as msrp.

If I were you, I'd 'phone Grubbs Infiniti in Texas for a price. Availabiltily (and price) from them may be better since they're big. What you save there may by far exceed the plane fare to pick it up. And you've got the drive home to aquaint yourself with your new ride and to break it in.
From what I've heard, Their rep is second to none.
G/L and happy holidays.

Re: Will they negotiate on the price?

the problem is... in socal, if you don't buy the coupe at MSRP, someone else will. I know many people in socal that try and fail to get better deals, and they end up walking away from a car that was the exact configuration they wanted. If the car is 100% exactly what you want, suck it up, pay the extra money and drive something you love.

Yea it appears that once you add options to this car you have a waiting period. I mean I waited 2 months for mine fully loaded and it was like the only one out of 50 that came loaded like this. Also paid like 1000 over MSRP

Re: Will they negotiate on the price?

So i did a little shopping over the phone today...I figured the only way i can get some discounts is if i can guarantee them a sale. So i cut to the chase with Tustin Infiniti. I figured why play games with these ppl, they know its a hot car with the hottest color, DG, and i know it as well. So i just laid it all out to him. I told him that my credit is top-notch 700+ and if he gave me some discount anywhere from 500-1000 off MSRP i'll buy it 2morrow...To my surprise, he said he could work out some numbers but can't say how much because i wasn't there, oh well.. Lets see how it goes 2morrow, wish me luck guys. Oh and if he wont give me discount on this color...there's always the ivory pearl that i have my eyes on also :-).

Re: Will they negotiate on the price?

tek,
thats kind of what i did.
i had checked out car, twice at one dealer who wouldn't budge. called another dealer. told him i know what i want, have already tested at this other dealer (mentioned the name, it is a competitor) and said if you give me 1000 off, i'll place order over phone. no test drives, easy sale. he asked how would he know i mean business, i said (and did) i would put 2000 deposit over phone.

done deal.
actually, if your is an order, if this dealer renegs, call another dealer on order day and say you are ready.
