I plan on purchasing a G35 coupe soon but I'm having a dilemma over the color. IP has more elegance and class whereas black has an agressive look. But obviously IP is easier to maintain whereas black will get dirty in two days. Both colors look great but I can't seem to decide! What do yall think?

If given only black or white choices, I'd go with White. Although its not as nice as black, you are right about maintenance. I've owned 1 black car before, and never again. But, I also like the (1) Silver, (3) Desert Platinum, and (2) Diamond Graphite.

black is ugly when its dirty, but whe you do wash it and stand back your like "damn I made the right choice" and that only last one to two days and then back to crap again just by keeping in garage and not driving because of all the dust

I say Ivory Pearl, I was in the same spot as you. I'm to lazy to take care of Black, and have not regret the choice =)

Black for sure. After you put about 3 coats of Zaino or a job of Crystal Guard. You'll be like DAMN she's fine. Also, black gets a lot more stares on the road. Especially with a good tint job. Pick whatever you want. =)

Go with white. Believe me I've got a black coupe and I love it and think that after I wax it no other color even comes close. But again, who does a wash & wax every other day? White is nice too =)

 

I have the Ivory Pearl 6mt ....very happy with it i think its the best white color after the white on the new Lambo.....haha

beside black car is hard to keep clean and scratch free(i hate those spider webs on my other car)....IP is the color with the least production...so i think is special....so dun get IP color ....i dun want to see another IPs coupe on the road wanna keep mine unique....lol

i'm going with white if the diamond graphite is not available. I think white would look good with a carbon fiber lip kit. Have you seen the Nismo bodykit on white...that thing is hott!

 

I have Ivory Pearl...since my last car was pearl white as well, I'm a little prejudice...however, I have owned serveral dark color cars and they look great when clean and waxed! but here in the northeast, it's not so easy to maintain in the winter months unless you have a heated garage! 2old4this
P.S. If I had all the time in the world I would buy the black...very impressive

 

Black is often the best looking color on many cars when shiny clean, but I personally found this not to be the case for the G35 coupe. For this car, I like white or any of the silver's before the black

when i was choosing colors, i had the hardest time, but once i saw an ivory pearl drive by me, i knew that was it.. IP looks luxurious and classy.. black also looks good.. very aggressive and sleek.. i don't think you can lose either way..

How long do you plan on keeping this car, and will it be garaged most of the time? Every black car that I know of that is used daily has looked very beat and very old within a few years time. My neighbor's Audi is only about 3 years old, and it looks like hell with numerous swirl marks. My co-worker's well-maintained Avalon is as old as my silver G20, but you'd never guess my G was as old. When new, black is gorgeous, but its very sparkle also shows up every scratch, dent and ding. All things being equal, i.e., you devote the same amount of care to both colors, white will look better longer.

I've owned 1 black car.... never again. Looked great when clean.. which wasn't very long. Way too much work. Shows scratches and swirls.

My wifes 04 G35 sedan is Ivory Pearl and it does look classy!
