Got into an accident tonight, think it's totalled :(

Dang . . . cup0spam, that is exactly what happened to me in my bimmer vert. However, the approaching vehicle was not travelling nearly as fast, as the one which hit you. After many days at a local dealership, my car was deemed totalled by the insurance company.
A day after the accident, I realized how very fortunate my niece, nephew and I were. The same can be said for your friend and yourself, as well. I am pleased to read that you two were not seriously hurt/injured.
I have a question for you. At the time of the accident, were there any plants, bushes, trees, poles, etc., which may have obstructed your view of any oncoming vehicles? The reason I ask is . . . My view was completely obstructed due to 6 foot plus tall trees and bushes. Some 4 to 5 days after the incident, I went back to the scene and to my amazement . . . Everything , which had blocked my view, was either removed or cut down. I did not really consider what had actually happened. I was simply thankful that in the the future, given the same situation, others would be able to see approaching red light runners and avoid a potentially fatal scenario.
After sometime, I started to think and realized that the city/municipality actually shared in some of the responsibility/liabilty in this matter. I didn't pursue it. However, if your circumstances were similiar, you may have some additional options/actions in your hat to pursue, so to speak.
Good luck with everything and I trust that you and your friend are feeling much better.

This gets me so mad.
In the past few weeks, I have had to defend myself from accidents. It's no surprice that out of almost a dozen people who have almost hit me, all of them turned out to be a female on the phone, putting make up on while driving, or even eating
Goodluck with everything man, hope it turns out good.
