Got into an accident tonight, think it's totalled :(

Thanks guys for all your kind words. I feel pretty lucky to be walking around today. I'm feeling fairly decent. Neck and Shoulders are a bit sore. I have some bruises around my head and my knee and hip are black and purple. My passenger is fine, just sore.
I'm curious how a settlement would work in a case like this. I've never sued anyone or ever attempted to get pain and suffering money, but I feel it's due in this instance. I graduate from ASU in 2 weeks and I found myself unable to do school work or even attend class today. Also, I may want to see a chiropractor because my neck and shoulders are sore.
As for the woman who hit me, I honestly know nothing about her. My friend and I were taken to the hospital down the street to be looked at, while she was taken to county because her injuries were so severe. I don't know her name, her age, if she had any passengers, or if she had insurance... I'm not too worried though, as I have uninsured/underinsured protection on my insurance policy. I have to wait for a day or two before the detailed police report gets to the records bureau.
I filed the claim through my insurance (Geico), who will then go after her insurance. I'll get my deductible back that way. I should hear back from them tomorrow or Friday regarding their decision on calling it a complete loss.
I plan on taking it to Scott's Coachworks if they give me any grief regarding calling it totaled. Scott's a really good & expensive body shop here in the valley.
As for my replacement car, even if by chance they attempt to fix it (I'd sell it immediately) I'm sort of stuck. I'd like a G37. Those don't come out until August. Perhaps I'd buy an old civic or something for a few grand just to drive around in while I'm waiting for them to hit showrooms... I figure I could always sell it for around what I paid for it. A 335ci would be dope, but they're a little on the spendy side. Too bad the IS350 doesn't come in a manual.
I forgot what a good value the G35 is. It's honestly the best choice in it's price range. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm enjoying everyone's input.

Glad to hear you and your buddy are alright...yup, your buddy was lucky, a couple feet more and well, he could have been in worse shape...
frame of the car is definitely bent, so much that the impact pushed back towards the body of the car and the rear...side impact door beam was tampered, front axle broken...yeah, your car is totaled...sorry bud..

Oh man...that's some crazy wreckage. Good to see you and your friend made it out with relatively minor injuries. I have absolutely no sympathy for the woman who hit you. The situation could easily have been vehicle manslaughter. And who cares if you've never sued before. I say, bleed that bitch dry. She could've killed you.

Sorry bro... hope everyone is ok. Happened to me too 3 weeks ago. Mine was a total loss and my air bags didnt go off. So yours is pretty much gone by comparison to mine. You should get market value for it. Being an 05 like mine they gave me 30k.. you should be around there or a lil more cause I had high mileage. Going through the same thing you are just a couple weeks ahead. Best thing to do is get a lawyer and they'll handle it all. Good luck to ya.. I'm waiting for the G37 too.. haha

more than 15k. i'd say around 24... when i got my oil changed, the shop didnt tighten the drainplug and my oil came out on the freeway. blew my engine, transmission, pistons... firestone paid $19,800 in repairs to infiniti.
seeing those accidents where someone isnt paying attention pisses me off..

Only the insurance company can deem a car totalled, but it looks like they will to me. The air bags alone will be several thousand dollars.
Consult with your insurance company over everything. That's why you pay them the big bucks. They should be able to handle everything including your medical bills. If their service in unsatisfactory, then lawyer up. A lawyer may even get you loss of income if your graduation is delayed because of this accident.
Stupid jerks that run red lights need to be owned.
