OK well here's another one of those G35 "is it totaled?!" stories. I was literally two blocks from my house with a nice cold six pack in my back seat waiting to be opened. I'm at a red arrow trying to make a left. As the light turns green I let off the clutch and accelerate into the intersection to make the turn, and as I'm roughly at the apex, some bitch crashes right into me without even braking. My guess is that she was going at least 50mph.

The next thing I know my car is spun around, every airbag is deployed, and I have a ringing in my ears... The first thing I did was make sure my friend in the passenger seat was ok, since he had spinal surgery about two weeks ago, then I check myself out. I have bruises on my head and my knee is messed up. Luckily two witnesses stayed and confirmed my story to the police. I was not cited. Both of us went to the hospital to get checked out.

Anyway, all I could get were bad camera phone pics. I'm going to the tow yard tomorrow with my digital camera to get better ones. How do you guys think she looks? It's a 2005 6MT with 33,000 miles. Every airbag (including the side curtains) deployed.

Do you guys think it's totaled?

I'll keep you guys posted.

Never good to see pics like that, sorry to see what happened to you, your friend, the other driver and the cars as well.....

I hope everyone was not seriously injured....she looked like she took the brunt of the accident injury wise...

I'm glad the two of you are okay, and I would have to say the car is probably going to be totalled.....too much damage, From the pics, it looks like the frame is bent, and replacing all the air bags alone is a pretty penny so.......
Get well, and let the insurance take care of replacing your car...
Good luck

The officer said that the woman managed to mangle her steering wheel with her body. I have no idea what condition she is in...

A little bondo and some paint, and she'll be as good as new. j/k

I think the car is totalled but more importantly, you and your friend walked away with minor injuries.

Dude, happy your ok, thats all that matters. I'm 99% sure its totaled, but your lucky that you car spun from the impact and didn't solidly take a 50mph hit, it could have been a lot worse. Be safe man!

It looks totalled to me. Especially since there is engine damage.
Glad to hear you and your buddy are OK. I was in a very similar accident. Make sure you save all paperwork so you can submit to the insurance company. The other guys insurance company paid for everything.

The car is a total loss but the G can be replaced. Glad that you and your passenger are alright.

I feel for you bro - so sorry about your accident - I hope nothing is too serious with your knees and your friend's back - Your G could be a total loss if the engine and the front suspension are all messed up - if repair cost is more than 50-70% of the car value = total! Make sure get quote from the most expensive/best bodyshop around as it's your choice. Good luck with everything.

Glad everyone is ok. Looks totaled to me, since the cost to fix will be upward of $15K.

It's never good to look at a crash, especially of a G35 coupe, but good to know the G provides adequate safety for you and your friend to walk away without too much damage done.

BTW, did you salvage the 6pack in the backseat?
