So I got random scratches on my car..
After I went to the dealer.
So, I took my car for the regular service as always. I have already around 16,000 miles on it, so of course, routine maintenance. I get there, my Service guy who I always go to got fired for "unknown" reasons and I get a new guy named Paul (Fields Infiniti). He seemed like a nice guy, but none the less I'm still wondering what happened to my guy Shawn. So this new guy, he gives a dirty *** look when he see's the rebadging of the car. I do the usual oil change and the Spring service check up. He goes and tells me he has to change my lights because of the recall finally going through over here, so I okay that.
I wait for about an hour, he comes back to me saying I need new rotors, calipers costing around $800+
He started saying, "You seem like a kid who knows a little or 2 about cars, let me teach you what they really are." Right then and there, I felt like he was underestimating me. He kept advising me to do it now or else I'll have problems then he backed off quick acting like I couldn't afford it. WTF man. My brakes are still good in a sense, I don't have to change them just YET. After that, he advised me to change my filters so I said yeah I've been asking to get them changed since the last oil change. They changed it and everything.
Another issue that happened again...I saw my car pull up out of the car wash when I said don't wash my car. They told me to wait for the papers to finish up. Why the hell did I have to wait for an hour? Right there I felt I got man handled for labor or whatever. Usually the service guy gives the paper and have a lil chit chat, but this guy Paul didn't bother. He gave me a dirty look and walked away pretty damn fast like he didn't want to confront me just because he went on break. He told me its his 3rd day working there. I said in my head, "That's nice. I don't give a @%$#. Be curtious like my last Service guy. Don't give me crap." Another service guy gives me my paper work instead.
So I finally paid everything. I walk to my car and do the usual walk around. I didn't see any scratches because of the sunlight, so I thought it was all good. I go get gas and what the hell do I see. #$%ing scratches right above my gas tank. Not just little scratches, also a big white scratch going across. I call Fields Infiniti immediately and told them what has happened, they treated me like crap. They told me to swing on by again and I told them I couldn't I'm already running late for class. I said, "Could I just come by tomorrow morning?" The guy Brian said, "Can you? Can you even make time? Can you bring your car?" Frustrating me even more, I said, "Yeah, its the only time I'm free." Just say it in your head how he said it..in a smart *** remark way. That pissed me off even more.
I'm just venting out at the fact how I got treated for once at an Infiniti Dealer. Has this ever happened to anyone? Man, I just got back in school and I'm still thinking of how many people I used to refer to go to that dealer to buy Infinitis. After getting this type of treatment, I'm very hesistant to even go back now. These are the kind of Service consultants that make dealers look like **** practically. Is every dealer like that?

i know how you feel man. thats how it is at my dealership as well. freaking ****** over there. but i think mine is worse.
there was this time when i was bringing my vehicle in for some service (clicking noises in the car and clicking sway bars) and i had left it over there for them. i had my mother with me so i could get a rental. im only 18 so i cant get a rental. anywho my mom gets a rental and she drives it off the lot. but for the rest of the days i drive it anywhere i want because she has her SUV to drive. long story short, i get this call from infiniti a few days later saying my vehicle was done and i can come by to pick it up. the day after i go to the dealership by myself with the loaner, they said that the vehicle is "finish" and they could not find anything wrong with it. so, i drive up to the dealer and park the loaner away from the service area so they dont see me driving the loaner. well before i got my car, the service advisers kept telling me to go to the check out and sign some papers. i kept telling them i wasnt picking up my car but just taking a test drive with the tech. they said they understood that but i had to sign the papers. so i did as i was told. i got my car and had a tech sit with me so i could duplicate the noise. as the noise was duplicated i drove back to the dealer and dropped off my car. i told my service adviser the sound was duplicated. then my service adviser said "so when will you like to bring it here again so we can fix it?" WTH? im already here. i told him i was leaving it here today.. he goes "thats the problem, your not suppose to be in the loaner". how the hell did he know i was driving it. i look out where the loaner was parked and it was GONE?!?! all my stuff were in there (suitcase, backpack, checkbook, cds, etc.) wtf? they just did me dirty! looking back i realized they made me sign those papers stating i was coming to pick up my vehicle so they could get their loaner back. thats was HELLA SHADDY! i still even had the key to the damn loaner! i went to get my belongings and called my mother to pick me up cause i really wanted the problems to be fixed. the next time i wanted to rent a loaner, they didnt even give us an infiniti.... they gave us one of their insurance vehicles which was a dodge nitro. WTF?!? i guess they knew i was going to drive it so they didnt give us an infiniti. they can be freaking shaddy ****** at the dealers. i know i was under age to drive a loaner but hell, dont be shaddy about taking the car back.
by the way i have an 06 as well, what they do to your light?

My first service advisor never did me shady, we practically became good friends. When I had to leave my car in the dealer for a week or so to change my windshield, my guy knew I was underage for getting a loaner, he still tossed me the keys. Of course I had to have a parent to have sign papers, but he didn't even bother telling anything. He litterally tossed me the keys and I signed the papers. I don't know if he got fired for that, but that was a long time ago. At least he told me everything what was wrong with my car unlike the new Service Advisor.
Algy that is shady what they did. I would never go back there again if they do that. I don't really plan on going to this dealer anymore. I gotta find another Infiniti dealer thats close by because I don't want to deal with this crap.
They had that headlight recall in the TSBs. I might be just looking at it too much, but I don't like these lights. They aren't as bright anymore. I miss my old lights now..Anyone have any recommendations to change those lights to brighter ones? I want to have a lil blue tint to them at least. The new ones they installed don't satisfy me at all as they used to.

There is a recall for the headlights because the driver's side headlight was aimed too high and blinded people. They would swap your old headlights for new ones. The bulbs will not be as blue as the old bulbs, because they need to warm up from 4100k to 4350k. This takes about 100 hours. You can read more about the headlight recall if you search for it.
The dealerships don't care about your car. I usually end up leaving the dealership with some sort of problem. Best bet is to avoid them as much as you can and only go to them for warranty work. After my first two oil changes, I started to do the oil changes myself. You don't have to worry about your car getting scratched or damaged. There's a DIY for the oil change at g-owners.com.
Algy-you can bring your car to any dealership you want to. It's your choice, but I would avoid them for less headaches.

I just got home from my class. I took my car in this morning and that guy Paul gave me a dirty look and walked away at once. This other service advisor Anibal took care of me instead. They buffed out the scratches and he kept saying sorry for the bad quality of service. I told him don't worry about it, you shouldn't be saying sorry; you should be telling the new advisor not to be a dick or racist, better yet fire him if this happens again.
That's what I'm thinking to do now, just do all the maintenance myself. After what happened? I really don't wanna go through this again. I liked how this guy got on my car quickly and had a little chit chat with me at least.
Is there a way to get the lights brighter? I'm bugging the hell outta me! I wish they didn't change them at all..Would it just be the bulb I change for a brighter contrast? Or would I have to customize them? I figured I can just go through the back cover of the wheel well to get to that light rather than taking my bumper off just to get to them right?
