Re: New Car!!! I LOVE DAD
Man i can't imagine what this crowd would have said when i got my 360HP Lightning at 16, and then with a lil bit of modding and the truck was 390RWHP at 17. Yes the truck was running high 12's. I just traded the truck in for the G35C 6MT in august.
This car is better for a 16 year old then the truck, that traction control just keeps the car under control for inexperienced drivers. Me, well i kinda of dont like it after driving the tail happy lightning i got enough experience to control the rear end. BTW, i am 20 and loving the G.

Congratualtions G35hotbuckI. Its a great car.
But one thing though, you might get a little bit of baccklash from some forum members. This forum was basically designed and operated by enthusiasts who adore the G35 car series by Infiniti. Many members here saved up every last dollar to buy this car, and to them it symbolizes the fruits of hard work and dedication.
Now when a person who comes in and obviously does not know much about the car, does not understand its capabilities, is 15-16 years old, and was handed the car to them by as a gift.... well, its almost like a slap in the face for those of us who busted our humps trying to get this car.
You are obviously more privelaged than most of us, and I'm not knocking you for it. Just be cautious and try to learn and appreciate the car you have. This is a great place to do that. Enjoy.

Why does it seem like such a surprise to alot of you that young people have expensive cars. I mean it isn't that uncommon anymore. This is already my second brand new car and i just turned 18. Some parents just like to give their kids expensive things.

Its kind of funny watching the progression of this thread from a "check out the new honey" to a "holy shitt, did I just try to solicite a 16 year old?!?!!?"
