In response to the person who said they had a 2000 Cobra: I am new here, so I am not trying to pick a fight. With that said, you had a 2000 Cobra that was totalled? I doubt it. Unless you live in Australia, there were not any 2000 Cobra's produced in the US with the exception of the Cobra R. There were only 300 Y2K Cobra R's made, and they carried a price tag of over $50,000. On top of that, the car was built for the track. The A/C, radio, and back seat were all removed to save weight. To me, it seems unlikely that a 17 year old was driving around in a $50,000 car made for the track. I highly doubt you had a Cobra R. Do your research before you lie.

I remember about a year and a ago, when I was a senior in college. Im walking through the commuter parking lot, when there I saw my dream car. A carbon black 2003 BMW M3 with 6spd transmission and 19" sports wheels. I just stopped right in front of the car, and just was in total shock. I wasnt shocked by the beauty, heritage, or the engineering that went into it. Instead I was shocked at the enormous amount of bird poop sprawled all over the hood, roof, trunk, and everywhere in between. It looked like the car hadnt been washed in over a month....

Just as soon as I was about to leave, I hear the doors just unlock... the owner was approaching, and saw me checking out the car. Then I saw him, and was not what I was expecting. It turned out he was a she. In fact, she was a freshman, who a couple of buddies of mine had been talking about. It turned out it she was quite popular for being "The One" who was driving the M3.

So I said hello, and we chatted about the car for a little. I asked her how she liked it, what she thought, and why she got it. Basically, it was a gift from pops for high school graduation and getting into a good college (mind you, all I got was a "pat on the back" and a bunch of applications for student loans... hehe).

Well, while I was speaking to her, I realized she had absolutely no idea what type of car she was driving. Her overwhelmingly most popular answer to my questions was she thought the car was "cute". All I could think of was "wow, here is this girl driving my dream car, and the only feedback she was able to give was that the car is 'cute'?" She then proceeded to say her buddy bought a 325ci, "which is basically the same thing" in her words. I was dumbfounded. After our short conversation, she proceeded to leave the parking lot, and stalled a total of 5 times, before she got to the main gate.

I didnt know who to feel sorry for, the car, or her...

At least G35hotbuckI is a part of the right community. I bet she'll learn a whole crapload of stuff from this site. And hopefully things wont turn out like it did for the girl who drove the M3.
