Re: New Car!!! I LOVE DAD
I know it's been said a million times on this thread, and excuse me but I'm a newbie here.. but DAMN. My first car was a 1967 VW Beetle that didn't run.. I felt damn lucky that my parents gave me that car (it was my mom's but it sat motionless for over 5 years). I've worked my butt off for 11 years and finally I'm able to afford a G35 Coupe 6MT. I was always jealous of the kids who got new cars as gifts.. even though they were only Civics and Celicas. I guess there will always be those spoiled kids who get whatever they want. Sorry, I'm not here to make any enemies, just venting my thoughts.

Damn, your school is nice. I must admit, I live in a very upscale area and I have always thought of my school as being very nice. I guess not...we have a raffle for parking lot spaces because our parking lot is not nearly big enough for the entire senior class. Your school's parking lot seems huge. The school seems huge too! I guess that's one of the many benefits of living in California...Maybe I'll get to experience that lifestyle if I get into/decide to go to Berkeley or UCLA.

Re: nice school
Yeah, just did a quick search, it is Brea Olinda. Lol, they have a funky schedule that starts 25 minutes before ours (class starts at 7:00!) and ends 25 minutes after ours. Plus, their classes are all 10 minutes longer than ours and their lunch break is 20 minutes shorter than ours. I guess there are disadvantages to the school too.

Re: nice school
You guys are good. =) Its Brea Olinda alright. I hate the school, but eh what can I do about it. It looks like a big campus, but really its pretty small. The parking lot is looking big, because its empty.
Class starts at 7 only if you want it to .. normal class starts at 8. Thats the big parking lot though, if you GPA is high enough you get a secluded parking lot in the back, where its watched by about 25 classrooms (I wouldn't park my G anywhere with less security).
Lunch being shorter = getting to leave earlier. I go to school at 7 and leave at about 1:30. Thats with 6 full classes on campus, if you have off-campus classes you get to leave when lunch starts about 12.
Where do you go to school snowy? I'm looking into UCLA or UCI for premed. I've played at Esperanza for tennis. It looks more like a normal high school than mine, heh.

Re: nice school
I go to school across the country in Maryland. I really want to come to California because it seems awesome. Problem is, the UC schools are very keen on accepting mostly California residents. It's a lot harder for me to get into a UC school than it is for you (obviously). But we'll see, I have a friend who goes to UCLA and he loves it. I need to get away from Maryland! Are you definitely staying in California for college? No reason to leave the state?

Re: nice school
Yea. I'm pretty much set on California. My few out of state options are Harvard (like I'm going to get in, I have a good record but its far from flawless) and NYU (I need to front some cash to get there). So yea, I really love California. I hate having to deal with snow in my real life, aside from skiing, snowboaring, so I really don't want to live somewhere where it would snow or be really cold. There are some great private colleges around here, that would be more prone to accepting you. But even the UC's will take good students from out of state.
