I am currently thinking about getting a used G cuz i'm don't have that much cash. I have a quick question for u guys, would u guys ever consider a G w/ salvage title, but got checked by a mech, and everything is ok?

NO... Unless u can buy it cash for 5 grand. Resale value will suck for you.. Frame may be damaged. Airbags may not deploy or are missing, wheels can fly off when driving on the freeway. I will pass. Save up and buy later. By the time u save enough, the price will be way down anyways.

I wouldn't buy one. One other thing for you to check out while making your decision - in some locations it is really tough (if not impossible) to get insurance on a salvage title.

better shot at getting your money back if/when you

Salvage Cars

Yes to your question because, alot of people cant afford the extra thousands they're going to spend on one that isnt salvage... Say if you save 5-6thousand or more on a salvage car the odds of you ever having to spend that much in a repair are very unlikely. The market is flooded with Jackleg's selling crap. You have to pick and choose just like with any other choice. Find a reputable source and go from there. Take someone with you to look at the car that knows things about cars. Find out what the damage was, who made the repair, what type of materials that were used. See if the car has 4wheel alignment. Front or rear damage. Front damage is what you have to be more careful with because of damage to the engine or airbags.. Most of the time a rear collision wont set off the airbags.. And makes for a neater repair. Take the car to a shop to see if a mechanic says its mechanically sound. These are just some idea's and I hope they help you.. Best of luck on whatever you decide.

If you can save some serious $$$ to get what you truly want, I say yes. But only if the G has been repaired correctly. I'd probably have a body shop inspect it as well as a mechanic. Also, a carfax is a good idea. Get details on its history from the owner.

Even though i said yes i'd be scared everyday with the car. Maybe you should just find a friend with a wholesale license.
