turn on your a/c its probably not as cold or strong as it was before.. If you can cover your tracks throw that thing back in there (where it fell out and where you found it) and undo everything that you did.. if you can do that.. drive your car to the dealer and tell them your a/c problem.. it should be charged under warranty..

OR

If you see a frequent service advisor/dealer take your car back there and see if they'll good will it or just over look it under warranty

BUT

Like the other members have said.. that is technically NOT covered under warranty as anything wear & tear or dmged by owner is NOT

I was gonna say the same thing. Looks important enough to have back in place.

Might have to do with the outside air vs. recirculation, who knows.

Agreed, if it was near the filter theres a high likelihood that this is the door that isolates in-cabin air for recirculation.
