shifting notchy as ever! Why

I have about 7k w/ a 04 model. I had notchy shifting before only in like 1-2 or maybe 4-5 but now its every gear and the notchyness is real bad. Is there any reason for it? I've done regular oil change and i havent tampered with the engine beside the ztube.

Curious, does it ever crunch when shifting quick at or near redline? Do this test too. Rev close to redline in 3rd, then skip 4th and 5th going directly into 6th, did it crunch?

Dang straight, it's all about the glory of helping. Who have you helped today?

Re: shifting notchy as ever! Why

Yes i get a cruntch at every freaking gear. I thought i was not pressing in the clucth good enough but tht isnt the case. Im sure no one on this board depress the clutch all the way right. Out catch point for this car stock if you didnt tamper with the adjustment is pretty high. I depressed the clutch 1/2-3/4 way. As for redline shifting i dont really notice but i do know its still notchy. What could be the problem?

Re: shifting notchy as ever! Why

I'm gonna guess that transmission is OK. Because it's doing in every gear.
1st. Bad master cylinder.
2nd. Bad slave cylinder.
3rd. Bad throw out bearing.
I hope your not in gear at stop lights or resting your foot on the clutch pedal. Nothing will ruin a throw out bearing or pressure plate faster then the above mentioned.
One other thing you mght concider is changing you clutch fluid. Hope this helps. good luck.
