Re: 120 mph Today

geez how much road do you need to get up to 155? there is a long strip of road near where I live which is about a mile and a half long and I can only get it up to 130 before I get little nervous about a cop coming around the corner ( I do have a valentine 1 radar detector)

Re: 120 mph Today

Techno Square found the ECU limits the car to 156 MPH. stitisticaly the G is supposibly good for 172MPH stock with no govener. Then if the G had enough HP to redline ever gear it would top out at 190 and change. but that would requare 500 some HP. But there is a govener contray to what some magizines say. and that is fact. After 120 ur speed is going to loos a lot of it acuracy. u will neeed some sort of GPS system to tell ur true speed. but i dont recomend going that fast.

Re: 120 mph Today

It's easy "dopeymon" just point and shoot, the "G" did not feel like it was going that fast, I don't have any mods I added a 350Z intake and tried again a few times and I get the same result about 145 mph.
Do be carefull where you do it, and please make sure you have no other trafic around you.
In my belief other mods will get you up there a litle faster but to me they are not worth compromising the integrity and reliability of the car , not to mention the warranty.
But to each their own, as I have stated before the engineers at Infiniti did a great job, and I think the after market people are finding that out, in the meantime lets enjoy the ride, I do!!!

Re: 120 mph Today

Way to go!! that is the fastest "proven" speed I have seen from a "G", As you mentioned at 145 MPH(or so analog) i still had about a thousand RPM's left.
Nice Going!!!!

"proven"= a picture to me . LOL

Re: 120 mph Today

My 6MT is clearly limited at 155mph and I don't think it could go up to 170mph without any mods...more like 160-165 max!

Re: 120 mph Today

i hit 140mph the third day i had the car racing a mustang GT and two weeks ago i hit 156mph and it felt like it could have kept going but it doesn't feel as fast as the trans am ws6 i had. the trans am was stock and i hit 155 mph in it and i had to pull over and let somebody else drive cause i got scared, but the g's pretty fast in the top end i guess. well enough of trying to kill myself . i kept it at a minimum for a while i guess i was just bored. ; )
