Is this true about the 06 lights recall?

I got hit from behind 2 days ago and brought my car to this body shop in LI that does all the work for Infiniti. I had also received the letter saying I should go in for the recall. The guy at the body shop told me they could bring it for me but when I told him what the problem was he said "DONT DO IT". The reason why there is a recall is cuz they made these too bright and high, and that the new ones would be cheaper. So I decided not to go.
Oh and yeah, some *** hit me from behind and messed up my bumper big time. Needed a new one.

Do the recall, its not for your benefit, but rather for the other drivers on the road, so you don't blind them all the time with the cutoff. Don't be selfish just so you can have slightly better lighting IMO.

well there you go. the cut-off is too high and blind everybody else on the road.

cut off line has nothing to do with brightness. the 06 headlight has the driverside cutoff a little higher then its suppose to be. drive up to a wall and u can see how the driverside lights are off. a real car such as the BMW has an even cutoff line.

having a lopsided cutoff line looks like we broke into our headlights and installed our own hids from ebay. just get it fixed.

I'll bet you my "ebay" hid retrofit will OWN a stock BMW anyday. e46 projectors are near the bottom in terms of output and sharpness

i just had it done...looks the same to me. If you have such a big issue with it being too low you can pay an infiniti guy on the side to raise it for you

really lets see some pics of the light output. i bet the left slide is slanted like this / and the right side is like ____... I also bet its fogging like a mother, and there are all these dust particles inside the lens and fingerprint krazy glue marks all over.
