Steering wheel turns to the right by itself?

Was coming today, hit a little bump in the road and all of a sudden my steering wheel started turning right (a full 180 degree turn) by itself.

Pulled over to a side-street, stopped, then let the car roll forward - the steering wheel started turning itself to the right again and didn't stop turning until I stopped the car.

Got out, swore at the car, kicked the right tire a few times, got in and all of a sudden it kept straight? It hasn't turned to the right by itself since then, but I don't know if it's safe to drive

WTF

I'd imagine it's pretty hard for the road to cause the wheel to, quite forceibly, turn by itself. I'm not talking that it was drifting slightly; the wheel was physically being pulled to the right and kept going w/o any interference.

ROfl, i literally was just slapping my desk after i finished reading this

but as for your concern, id say either a rod, or psychological (aka its just the road)

i few times i could have sword something happened to my car but instead it was just the road
jsut some food for though, good luck!

you got a problem with the powersteering. You should go and check the dealer for that.

It could very well be the road..as its happend to me many times.

However, I had it happen once in my 03 and reported when I took it in for service. They told me it was a broken "clock spring" or something like that...Once they fixed it I definitely noticed the difference.
