Trailer Hitch???

I'm wanting to take my GSX-R to the beach with me this summer. I have found some hitches online but they are showing for 04-05's. Does anyone know where I can get a Class 1 hithc for a 03 Coupe? I have a very small trailer (maybe 250lbs) and my bike that I would be pulling. Anyone have any ideas or direction of where to look?

I did a search... I didn't find an answer to my question. I have found several hitches for the 04-05 and so on coupes. and for the sedans, but I cant find a hitch for a 2003 coupe, and no one knows the difference between the 03's and the 04+ SOOOOO, I need a little help from anyone that can. Curtis (spelling?) does NOT make one for the 03 Coupe.

I found that post. Called the number. They dont sell to general public, but hte lady was nice enough to check their system and they do not show a listing for the 03 Coupe. They show it for the 04-05 and newer, and for sedan's but not for the 03 Coupe.

Going to have one custom made. The guy makes bumpers, roll cages and custom chopper frames. lots of experience. He is going to make it fit behind the bumper and you will never know its their untill I take the plate off to put the receiver in. I can borrow a truck, but it gets to be a pain. for the track I have a 6x10 enclosed trailer. Obviously it wont work with the G, so I can borrow a truck. BUT to go to the beach, I have a very small single bike flat trailer. My Mustang had a hitch. Got a lot of looks... 90 GT all built up, towing a Ducati 748S to the beach... Just think, then you have the best of both worlds.

I have the hitch on the 06' and it is to only use it for my bike carrier.... Even then I would never tow anything with it... I don't remember what the hitch is rated for. Just my two cents.

I have an '06 and want a hitch for the same reason . . . bikes. Always using the parents Element (which is fine), but would be nice to have the added convenience. Could you post picks of your setup? Where did you get the hitch?

Thanks,

I spoke with the company that makes the hitches for the coupes and sedans (curtmfg) and they said the only reason they don't have an 03 coupe listed as being supported is because they never tried the hitch out on an 03 (none in their area) so they said just because they don't list it as being supported, doesn't mean it won't work. So my friend with his 03 coupe is going to order one and we're going to see if it's compatible (it should be).
