first drive G35

Just wanted all to let you know tonight was my first experience in a G35 coupe. A friend of mine today picked up a brand new Red 2003 G35 coupe 6-spd w/Brembo package. Wow, he took me out for a ride and I was in love with the car, everything from the styling of the car to the lovely sound of the exhaust. We also got so many people breaking there necks looking at the car lol. BTW this is coming from a 2003 Maxima owner, now I know what I want to get after my Maxima lease is up. Just wanted to share my experience with all you lucky G35 coupe owners. Peace

Re: first drive G35

I went from wanting a Max to a G35 Sedan and then a coupe passed me and my decision was made.

Re: first drive G35

first question to trentacinque.... since u have a coupe doesn anyone sit back there and watch those monitors u have in headrest.

Secondly... i use to drive 94 integra LS 5mt... drove my pops pontiac... drove my moms galant and 325 xi. When i first jumped into that g35 coupe i was just testing.... WHOA. i was like damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn i was like whoaaaaaaa... and the sweet thing was that the dealer sitting in the car told me "make this turn right here AND PUNCH IT" shocked as i was that he told me to do so... i asked "PUNCH IT??????" he said "FLOOR ITTTTTTTTTTTTTT" so i was like ok... THEN VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMm 0-60 so easily and swiftly, i hit 80 in this short distance. i fell in love. The feeling of a true sports car even though its luxurios at the same time.... rear wheel is the way to go... the only draw back is that i live in BOSTON which has snow every winter of course. YET I STILL LOVE THE CAR... so now i wait until february/march to recieve my 04 coupe 6mt. Luckily i can borrow my pops SUV during the winter =)

I use my monitors 3 or 4 times a week for the kids. I use my tv every dam day! My G is my primary car. If we go anywhere it's in the G. I have an Explorer that only leaves the house when I'm not driving. I pretty much hate driving anything other than the G.

Re: first drive G35

My wife drove a 98 Honda Accord V6 Coupe and was ready for an upgrade back in September. She thought she wanted a new RX-8 or Mercedes CLK...until we drove the G35!

We test drove the very first 2004 G35 the dealer had on the lot. We were hooked!

The car felt much more substantial than the RX-8.
I also think it is much better looking...classy vs. quirky.

We took the test drive on some twisty backroads and had it up to 80 mph. I couldn't believe how well it handled.
I was also pleasantly surprised at the comfort and ride.
I expected the ride to be very hard...not so!

The only draw back to our purchase is we had to go with the AT...my wife has a bad knee from running.

Life is too short...get out and live it!
