transmission/clutch pedal problem
oh great! i had an engine stu, stutt, stuttering problem and now.. a messed up clutch pedal! I was driving my way down to Target to buy myself a nice cheapo coffee brewer nice and casually... depress clutch smoothly and freely.. until the clutch pedal was stuck. great.
good news... i wasn't hurt, nor were there any immediate danger to my car. i had to utilize the synchros a bit to move the car away from the middle of the street (ouch...)
anyone had a similar problem or would like to shed some light? i am thinking either the cable snapped or something is wrong with the transmission itself... i will find word tomorrow asap... happy holidays and safe motoring to all.

Re: transmission/clutch pedal problem
Can you pull the pedal back up? I had a vehicle years ago with a manual transmission. I had the clutch replaced and the shop apparently sucked. They didn't grease the main shaft that slides back and forth for shifting and so the pedal would stay on the floor when I depressed it. I had to hook my toes under the pedal and pull it back up every time I shifted. I had to go to a different shop to have it fixed. That might not be your problem, but I've had the same experience.
Re: transmission/clutch pedal problem
If I'm not mistaken, the tranny uses hydraulics (Brake fluid) not cables. Your hydraulic lines may have a leak. When your lines don't have enough pressure or too much air, your pedal will stick to the floor. Take it to the dealer for repairs. Your car may have 2 bleed points.

Re: transmission/clutch pedal problem
problem solved. acquiring the 6 speed tomorrow... the clutch fork(?) was destroyed.. so that was replaced under warranty. got a new clutch too. i guess i'll abuse this one more and see how the new fork holds up.
