Shifter Cover
Shifter Cover
Does anyone have any idea how to remove the shifter cover on the AT car without damaging it? There is a rattling noise coming from in there and it is annoying me to no end. I want to see if I can maybe figure out what it is. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Shifter Cover
Just take it to the dealer.. they will fix it and it will be covered under warranty. Thus, if they damage it, you'll be able to get them to replace it. But if you damage it, then you'll have a broken center console that is probrably very expensive to replace as it would no longer be covered under warranty.. Just my thoughts

Re: Shifter Cover
Thats probably the best solution. The problem is though that the dealer never has a loaner available and I need my car everyday. I guess ill have to wait until I have a free day to take care of this. Thanks
Re: Shifter Cover
speaking of the damage of replacing that by ourselves...reminded me...for those of us who got the first coupes...has anyone upgraded from the regular consol to the one with the armrest...? how much...? where ....? details...? much appreciated...

Re: Shifter Cover
I saw the armrest upgrade on Grubbs infinitis website while I was browsing for like 290 bucks. I doubt that includes installation though. The link is www.infinitiwholesaleparts.com Click on the G35 link and it should be the first part there. Hope this helps.
