clutch?

This has happened twice to me in the past 3 months. When i drop the clutch, the pedal stays to the floor and i have to pump the pedal to get it to pop back up. I get that lovely clutch smell for a while and thats it. Any ideas, i am taking it to the dealer on wednesday, but i cant tell them why it happens.

If your past the 12mos/12,000 mile mark they will not warranty it.

I've heard this happens a lot on the 350z

Easy, don't drop the clutch, its a safety mechanism on alot of new cars that prevents dropping the clutch. The engineers installed a clutch oriface in the line to prevent dropping the clutch in alot of situations. It prevents the dangerous situation of the clutch drop making the car serve out of control.

Believe it or not, but this happens on the sedans and not just the coupes. And guess what else? This very informative link was just #21 when I typed in "clutch" in the search box:
