SKYLINE, V35 badge

Does anyone know where to get a SKYLINE or V35 badge? I've been looking since Nov. and nothin yet. Maybe going partners to consider aftermarket accessories. Strictly product that will be in keeping with the G35 stature, no cheese. I have a few plans for interior accents, aerodynamics, and other very subtle but classic stylish items.
Let me know.

Re: SKYLINE, V35 badge

I don't think there's anything ricey about that. So what if he wants to use JDM badging on his car.

Our G35's are completely identical to their JDM counterparts. It isn't like putting a skyline or v35 badge implies his g35 is something it isn't.

For example, when someone puts a Type-R badge on his Civic DX coupe. That's pretty tasteless being that his car shares no similarities with the actual Civic Type-R, the chassis isn't even the same.

But I think putting a Skyline and v35 badge on a G35 would not be in bad taste, since they are virtually the same car, and share many similarities.

If you are going for the JDM look, I say go for it. That's exactly what I intend to do.

Just make sure you remove the Mt.Fuji badges as well and stick your nissan ones on there

Re: SKYLINE, V35 badge

Thanks alexthekurrupt for the info, I'll take one. Actually 2 just to pi$$ off Rambone. Let me know how to purchase. And give me your best address to receive pix. In about 4 weeks I'll send you something nice that looks like it belongs in Japan. But it lives in my garage. G35 > V35 total transform, with a little somethin extra. Where'd you get your grill?
Later.

Re: SKYLINE, V35 badge

I guess some people don't appreciate the heritage. Even if it has been a little diluted. But hey, what do you expect? SKYLINE's are #1 in a real racers garage. I know it isn't an R35, but it is all we can get. For now.

Re: SKYLINE, V35 badge

how about just a chrome license plate frame that says Skyline. i'd go for that. I don't believe in rebadging personally...

I donn't know if this apllies to the v35's, as I haven't seen one close up in person, but the older Skylines used to have special wheel caps. Like I say, I don't know for sure if this applies, but it's another small detail to watch for. Please post pictures when complete. I'd love to see the results.

Re: SKYLINE, V35 badge

Not to pi$$ anyone off, but I tend to agree with RamboRami. Why rebadge a car to something it's not? The G is what it is and it's a d@mn good car.

I have a lot of great rides sitting in my garages ('02 Porche Carrera Cab, '98 Viper GTS, '87 Ferrari 328 GTS) but thoroughly enjoy driving around in the G35C and I'm proud to own one. No doubt I'll be right there to take avail of the R-Spec offerings to get more out of it once they arrive here. Now if they have an "R-Spec" or "NisMo" badge I might be inclined to apply it to balance the G35 on the back, but only if so equipped.

Just my opinion, everyone's entitled to their own

Re: SKYLINE, V35 badge

I don't think it's that rice or anything especially this particular car. Since it exactly same car as Skyline in Japan (almost same) I dont' see anything wrong with it.. It's same car...seriously..maybe few minor details. And it's great to tell people here that you have a Skyline (which is true), not many know that G35 is Skyline in Japan. I think it's better than Infiniti sign..

Re: SKYLINE, V35 badge

yeah its tooooooooo big of a headache, its not worth it.
It will cost well over $250 and you have to replace all emblems including those on your rims, steering wheel, and Navigation menu screen hahahaha good luck
