Re: 325 HP COUPE

I don't know about the caps man but I'm in agreement about your math on HP. Taking the average gain of each mod (on it's own) and then adding them all together does not give a correct sum of HP. Dynos are the best judge of that in my opinion and the best way to find what your mod's are doing.

As some have found out certain mod's will work great in combination with others yet if you add another mod after that it may detune the first couple. So using simple linear math to add each mod is not the best idea to design your setup. Also some info on the some of the mod's you are talking about. I would highly recommend using Techno Square ECU tuning with any or all of these mod's to prevent the ECU from detuning the performance back to factory baselines after the mod's have been added.

Also, I find it hard to believe that the Grounding Kit will add HP and I don't think anyone here who's used it could produce dyno evidence otherwise. One last thing if you are making this claim because you have achieved it in practice I would be very interested to see the Dyno's or evidene on how exactly it was achieved. Thanks. Ricer math... I think most here would agree that each mod doesn't necessarily add that much hp and that certain mods may detract from the performance of others..

Don't forget the G35driver.com sticker, thats at least 50 horsepower to the rear wheels.

Re: 325 HP COUPE

Please explaing what the GRUD kit is and how it ads 5 hp. Is it as fuel efficient as big stickers and double decker wings?

Definitely ricer math. The only way to tell is to dyno each mod one at a time to see potential losses and gains.

I'm sure it is a lot more powerful than stock though.

Props to a nice setup!

HAHA.....
RICER MATH, AND CAPS

What's up with this guy? haha
Nah but for real the grounding kit has been dyno proven to produce HP gains like 1-3 or something there.... I've seen the sheets for before and after, their around here somewhere.

Peace

This is a Dyno provided to me by one of my Clients on a new (not broken-in) bone stock G35 Sedan. First pull was with the two main ground clusters disconnected and taped, and the second about 15 minutes later, all done on a hot day in Toronto last summer.

Re: 325 HP COUPE

Clavesta, Cryhavoc is telling it like it is. We don't like CAPS, it usually signifys that someone is YELLING, and around here we don't yell at each other. We also stay civil or we get told about it.
You may feel this is being a little picky, but things have been back on an even keel here for a while and we'd like to keep it that way.
Please also refrain from name-calling. ("SONNY BOY")....... If you were being serious, that may be construed as being unfriendly.

Welcome to our site. You sound like you may make some significant mods and we look forward to hearing about them.

Re: 325 HP COUPE

Hmmm, for all that, I'm surprised no one took the time to tally up how much all this "325 HP" will cost ya....

Plenum - $500
Ecu - $500-$700
Cats - $220 (test / bypass pipes)
Cams - $1500
Exhaust - $750-$1200
Header - $500-$1000
Intake - $150-$250
Grounding Kit - $25-$100

TOTALS - $4145 to $5470 + Installation (for those certain parts)

I don't know about the rest of ya, but for 45HP over stock, that's a lot of $$$, not to mention time and elbow work you're gonna have to put into your G. I don't doub't all the mods above would get you over the 300 HP mark, but 25+ over, I think that's streching it. If I wanted to gain substantial HP (30-50% over stock) and had that much $$$ to blow, I would take the Supercharger route, or dish out six grand for the Greddy TT kit.

Re: 325 HP COUPE

Oh and by the way - This is the same guy who posted this:

HOW TO BEAT AN M3...

K&N WA INTAKE 10 HP
CRAWFORD 10 HP
BORLA HEADERS 12 HP
UNORTHODOX PULLEY SET 12 HP
CRAWFORD CAT CONVERTERS 10 HP
BORLA EXHAUST 10 HP
HYPER GROUNDING KIT 1 HP
TECHNOSQUARE ECU 15 HP = 80 HP + 280 = 360 HP
THIS IS IT GUYS THE TRUTH TO BEATING A M3 IN A AUTO G35

Funny stuff!

Re: 325 HP COUPE

humm I think your all nutz! There was a guy on my350z.com and he got Nismo cams, CAI Intake, Borla exhaust, Borla headers, Pullies, ECU,, and I think a plenum and only gain like 17 HP.. Now im not sure on all the products or the numbers but all I know is hes pissed! If anyone saw that thread and wants to correct me please do as I have no time to search now at work.. Most of the products are helping the major HP loss after Peak so as I always say theres more to a dyno then peak HP. I must admit iv done the ricer math and added up the price.. TT sounds better and better each day..

Re: 325 HP COUPE

Did anyone read the comparison between modded 350Zs in R&T? All had forced induction, except one. Guess which one had the quickest 0-60 time. The Motorex 350Z with only JWT intake and cams did 0-60 in 5.1 seconds, and R&T doesn't even get the very best times out of cars. Motor Trend would probably get 4.8 seconds from it. I would be happy with just an intake, cams, and ECU if my G would be that quick. That's AMG/M territory for not a lot of money.

Re: 325 HP COUPE

Once again, Ducatiguy does the "right" kinda math!!!

Alright...add about five large to what you paid for your G and then figure out what you could have gotten that would have had that horsepower...hehe...I really, really am happy with my HP in my coupe and think the money would be better spent tweakin' the suspension to make the baby a lil more nimble (or sheddin' some pounds...lol).

I really should keep up on the forums, but between work, gettin' married and remodeling my house...whew...
