Bus hit my front end!
I got two quotes to fix my front bumper. The first quote was $800 to fix the scrape and re-paint. The second was 1200 for a new bumper and re-paint. I would aim for 1500 - 2000 and make sure there is no damage under the bumper before you give them the quote.
I would like to bring up something else.
Most likely the parking attendant is poor and may even has a family to support. Without her you would be out of at least a grand. I think you should at least throw $50 her way for her effort.
good luck with your bumper.

+1~!
I'll post pictures when I get back to California on Monday. I am in Michigan this weekend.
Thanks for the feedback.
The bumper isn't repairable as the gash that is ripped into it is wide and long! I will have the body shop do up a solid estimate that includes the new bumper and lower spoiler lip.
Some of you have mentioned to go with a '06 Sport bumper. What does that look like? I haven't really noticed a difference between my '05 and the '06 front bumpers. My '05 does have the aero / sport package.

here is the rules of thumb or negotiation. you quote high, they quote low. don't settle for just a new bumper/lip they will get getting away too easy. I'd say start at 5,000 and dont settle below 3,000. the point is...they fucked up and they will be willing to pay. Bus insurance is sky high and they're not gonna be want raised premiums. Did I also mention that they commited a hit and run and that can be potential for suspension of business license? You've got the upperhand here, take advantage of it.
god damn why so much for just the front? i paid like $230 for the OEM front from a nissan dealership and got it painted and clear coated for another $250.. this was like 2 years ago but still i dont think the cost of parts has gone up that much
