Bus hit my front end!

So I was in Tijuana for business so I drove the coupe down to the US/Mexico Border and parked on the US side and walked across. I used one of the pay lots and backed into the first spot. I came back to my car to find the front end with a HUGE gash and the bumper rolled back and a long scrape along the length of it!!! I was like what the hell. The parking attendent said a tourist bus backed into my car and then drove off. She wrote down the license plate and bus # and helped a great deal with the police report.

The bus company contacted me and wants to settle without using their insurance company. The car obviously needs a new front bumper. Anyone know how much that will cost? I think I am going to have them include the lower spoiler lip for the trouble they have put me through!!!

Nice time to upgrade. I'd get a quote for a nice aftermarket bumper, a stock bumper and paint for both of them. Tell them cut you a check for 1200.00 and call it a day!

That reminds me. I have "business" to take care of as well.

Seriously, I hope you get your bumper fixed.

i would ask for more since it was a hit and run, thats potential for a lawsuit esp because the parking attendant got all the info and was a witness.

APR widebody kit, painted and installed and you will settle on that.

Or take 1500 and be reasonable.

If you havent read my thread i just got hit too, cept the guy is not taking fault for any of it and even said it was mine, so im trying to fight it, i wish there was a good person around when my accident happened

I would get a quote from a body shop or the dealer and make sure to include the lip.

Just go get the most expensive quote you can find and then give it to them and tell them thats what its going to be or your going to contact insurance.

some business huh?

i say if youre not looking to go aftermarket then get the sport bumper and then use the rest of the money to do other things to your car

PRECISELY. They tried to fvck you, so fvck them back. You deserve alot more than just the cost of the bumper replaced.
What about car rental fees while your car is in the shop? Diminished value of the car because it's been in an accident? What about compensation for you time, and the hassle and inconvenience?
Hit and run? Make them pay, they're jerks. I'd be furious!
