Car Just Got Broken Into, Cost of New Window = $195

Man! I just woke up and went out to my car and I see my driver side window smashed.

I forgot almost everything in my car last night. He got away with a lot:

External GPS
My Wallet with $500 Cash in it
My Cell Phone (Samsung A900)
My Cell Phone Charger

Still checking to see what else he got.

Can someone tell me what the cost would be to get a new window.

*Update* After rumors of this spread around the office, I hear that another SUV was broken into in the same parking structure last night also. I didn't realize because I was busy freaking out over my own car, but I guess whoever did it when on a spree last night.

Not to mention the morning of yesterday, there was another SUV that caught on fire in the parking structure. Police says it was electrical, but that's their preliminary investigation.

Man.... all this is the middle of Silicon Valley. It's a nice area to, next to Great America around Hilton, Marriot, AMD headquarters. By the way, this happened at my office. I stayed overnight again working.

Thats rough. Here in Mass glass claims are free when you have option 1. That sucks though. Good luck with your repairs though.

hi guys, sorry to hear about all these break in, suck to who ever did it.
I think in our G, the alarm doesn't activate if the window is broken....But when it is lock and then open from the inside without the key, now the alarm would turn on.....strange!!! I thought the alarm should be active when something hit your car windows inside and outside....could you guys confirm? :=)

The alarm that comes with the car pretty much activates when it is armed and someone opens the door.. it does not have an impact or vibration sensor.. you would need to get an aftermarket alarm to add those features..

my guess is that the alarm is basic. for it to go off when someone hits the car it will need to have motion sensors and what not, which the car doesn't.

having the alarm activate when the lock is flipped from the inside would be much easier and cheaper type of alarm... not to say infiniti skipped corners on this part of the car.

thanks guys! I was hoping the alarm would able to activate when someone try to open the door or window; otherwise, no need to alarm when someone already got into the car and open the door from the inside!! doesn't make much sense here!!!
