My buddy challenges me for saying US Infiniti G35 is different from Japan Skyline 350GT in spec. He said they have different regulation and Skyline 350GT should has more power than the G35. Is that true?

There are a few differences.

Engine tune is not the same but I believe the power numbers are the same.

The rest are the body and electrical.

 

dont the JDM V35's have a standalone ecu ?

 

There are different regulations in japan which have less regulations on emissions and things of that sort but i dont believe the japan nissan skyline 350gt has any different power output then the US counterpart

 

i think from all the best motorings i've seen pre 07 Gs and Zs were rated @ 280 hp

so were GTRs

i think there was a hp restriction from factory

i hate people who don't drive Gs or Zs and pretend they know something about them
