Lightbulb After 28,000 miles

what is the solution to front tire cupping, feathering and all the other issues for the coupe? Do the new ones have the same issues as the earlier ones? I have an 03 6MT and I just changed tires. I knoew they were cupped but I refused to change until I got my money's worth out of them. Now I have Yoko AVS ES100's and they are quiet.

Can the car be put into proper alignment? Is a camber kit ($846 just for parts!) the answer?

I rotated my wheels and dismounted and remounted the tires so the inside is now the outside. Front tires have about 40k miles and are still good. Who said you can't rotate tires on the coupe? It's possible it just costs more.

TheKnite.... you cant properly rotate the tires on the coupe. They are staggered so you cant put the backs in the front and fronts in the back, they are different sizes. Which is an actual rotation of the tires. I mean you could just switch side to side but thats not a true tire rotation.

I don't think you needed to explain that, everyone knows you don't put rears in the front if you're staggered. But thanks anyway, and yes I mean side to side, but I did still rotate the tires on the wheels.

you dont really get much more out the tires by swapping left to right

You don't if you're wearing them evenly. I answered the guy's post because we have cupping/feathering problems, where inside of the tire wears down the tread while the outside has still a lot left. When I noticed my uneven wear I was giving my front tires another 10k at the most, but by rotating the inside out I made another 20k and got room to go, and when this side gets lower than the other I'll probably rotate them back again.
Do whatever you guys want, I just wanted to enlighten the guy so he knows he has options. It helped me so wanted to pass on the helpful information onto others.

My tires rotate every time I drive the car.

cuping = toe not camber

camber causes an uneven wear

toe casues cupping / feathering
