275 miles = mostly city driving i'm guessing...
while 400+ miles = mostly highway with some city...

When i see the needle hit the E and the gas light comes on, i panic and speed over to the gas station, but i usually fill her up at 1/4

Our gas meter is all messed up I think. My light goes on sometimes when I have like 6 gallons left, other times 5 or 4. You can never actually gauge the gas accurately, it sucks.

i get 250-275 in town but if im on interstate i get 420-450 atleast

I agree. Especially since I live in a hilly area, when I park on an incline, my gas needle literally drops 1-2 tics and it may be on E when I start the car, but the light goes away when I hit the freeway.

Huh? I doubt that's a problem unless they are running on fumes.

It really does vary betweeen cars.

I got a '03 coupe 6mt, and usually u can go about 25 more miles with the "Empty" light on...of course i don't recommend testing the idea, but i know b/c i've experienced it (had no choice).

Also my gauge is all weird, when i fill up my meter goes above the "Full" mark, and when it is empty it goes below the last mark as well. I dunno what's going on, but Infiniti has never really been known for its superb gas mileage. My parents use to have the old Q45t, and that shiat drank gas like it's job, we had to fill it up before the week was up. Hopefully INFINITI is improving the gas mileage technology on their newer vehicles, b/c it has always sucked.

when i was on my way back from Vegas to LA, the needle went under the lowest mark of the gauge. note:the needle's upper edge still shadowing the lowest mark. ...and i clocked 330mile(almost all freeway on a 04 5AT). but i totally agree with those guys above, it is dangerous and damaging
