I tinted my windows - don't have pictures at the moment, but basically there is a line of non tint on both sides of the window at the end of the window where the door closes.
They said because it is frameless, they could not get all of the window...
is this true?
another thing i noticed on both sides of the door where the drink/compartment to put things is lose.. it's lose all the way to where the controls on the side of the doors are, like to open windows ect.. the door handle itselt and the upper compartment is very tight.
Did the miss a clip or something?
do they take off the whole door side of the interior?
I will try to take pics shortly, no camera at the moment - that and its dark and raining.

Post some pics so that we don't have to picture what you're talking about. The tint won't go to the outer edge of the windows, but you shouldn't see it when the window is up.
And you don't need to take the door panels off to tint the windows.

some shops do take door panels off (my bro tinted his Lexus 470 and guy did take them off) ended up braking something and gluing it back together. My bro noticed it and showed to him. He gave him some of the $ back.
As far as the window not being tented all the way. Thats true. But it is almost invisible. Film got to stop almost at the edge of the glass. You only be able to see it if you know it's there and if you look too close.

I do.. I took it back once to get the tint fixed already.
Second time was better, but I still see it..
this time the door panels are loose.. do they take off the whole door panel?
including where the cup holder section is?
it's loose there..
the handles on the door are all nice and tight.

Normally you don't have to take panel off to tint the windows. But some shops like to tint entire window and not just the part that sticks out of the door. So they do take panels off. If it's loose take it back and have them re do it. As far as the line tell them to re do it as well, If they refuse and tell you that this is how it needs to be. Take it to another shop and ask them for an opinion. But don't tell them who did the job for you, shops will not **** can other shops work.
Thanks for the info..
This is quite the bothersome, going back a 3rd time.
I paied more for good tint too.. i could of got it cheaper.
But I heard a few good things from the place.. i guess for tints with frames.
They had to take off the door panel because they had to redo the tint.. from the first time.

mine has about 1/8" all the way around. they can't take it right to the edge. you shouldn't see that with the door closed though. if there is any more than that they are screwing you.
and these cars shouldn't have to have the panel removed to tint them. that cup holder section is attached to the door panel. when i had mine apart to do the strereo install i didn't have to remove the cup holder part, just the whole panel....it went right back on nice and solid.

Who tinted your windows.....I or They?
You are not really clear about who tinted your windows. If you had it done
and you're not happy with the job they did take it back and have it done
right. There should be a gap at the top of your window (drivers/passanger)
with about 1/4" gap. Everything else should be covered and tight.
