Why would anyone do that?

Unless you ran over their dog, stole a parking spot, or laughed at their mustang...? j/k

Good luck man....

That's happened to me too...

man, my car JUST broke the 10,000mi mark too! aaaaahhh....and got zaino detailed!

anyways would you guys recommend going to a shop that the local inifiniti dealer usually uses for any body work or a shop recommended by friends? My thought is that the body shop that the local infiniti dealer always uses has more experience mixing and matching infiniti colors. But then that doesnt really say anything about the smoothness, craftsmenship, or the type/brand of paint. Will have to look into this more this coming wk.

sorry to hear about your car man. Same thing happened to me last night actually. passenger side from tailight to front headlight similiar to yours. I also have a 05 Black coupe. Stupid how it's done out of someone's stupidity. No one benefits from it, and causes more hassle for you with time, money, and stress. Got to wait until tuesday since insurance co is closed memorial day. good luck with everything.

Can't believe these things happening over there
Surely if someone has got a problem with you or the car then the anwser is to front you about it
Are you so huge and scarey looking that would prevent someone facing up to you. My guess is they are little ****s that wouldn't even face up to their little brothers or sisters.

Im not the religious sort but I always believe these people get their come upance at some point in their lives. Dont help you though i know,

My condolences. Jealous scumbags out there who have no idea that people work hard to pay for a nice car. Black should be one of the easier colors to get a good match. Caribbean Blue is practically impossible to get a perfect match!

The problem with our world now is that there are a lot of haters and, well, they don't have to not like you for them to want to vandalize your property.

if the guy went through the prime (which it looks like it is ) it could rust. You will definetly need to go through insurance. my friend had his brand new lexus gs300 keyed and it was an 8k to repaint the car. I would say that you should stress repainting the whole car to get the best color match and they will also fix any other paint prblems you may have then. sorry

Where in Northern Cali are you at? As far as insurance, it depends on your deductible - not advisable to claim it though especially if you're under 25. Your insurance would go up just because of this incident. I forgot who posted it, but there's a post on Northern Cali thread and the guy posted all kinds of places to go to for crap like this. Just borrow the $$$ or throw it on your credit card for now so the damage won't get worst.
