For Xmas I ordered a Serius factory radio for my wife's 2004 G35 from Grubbs. Santa give's it to her. (the sat radio you perverts!) She wanted to have the our local dealer put it in. She's afraid to have me install it, she didn't want any warranty issues (or have me break something or scratch her baby) and she's got 3700 miles on her car so she's ready for an oil change. I call our local dealer, service writer says it's $131.00 to install sat radio. I say OK, and let's make an appointment for the sat radio install and oil change. He says they'll even give us a rental car... I say cool.

We bring her car in for the appointment, the service writer that gave me the $131.00 install quote is on vacation. New service writer dude says I need to check this $131.00 quote with my service manager. New dude comes back and says my service manager said it's $500.00 to do the install, not $131.00, and you won't be getting a rental car. I ask to talk with the service manager to find out what's up with this friggin nightmare. Service manager walks up to me and says "It's $500.00, not $131.00 to install and you don't get a rental car", then he turns and walks away! Needless to say, I almost sh** a brick.

So I go find the General Manager and explain whole situation to him and mention that I bought two G35's from them in October. General Manager says I'll be right back, and goes back to service. (I'm sitting and thinking lucky me, my future service will by done at the next closest Infiniti dealer... and that's about 60 miles away! Just swell!)

Gen. Mgr.comes back 20 minutes later and explains that there's "a little misunderstanding". New service writer dude didn't BOTHER to tell the service manager that you already bought and HAVE the factory sat radio with you. We're sorry. G.M. says we're going to give you a free rental car, a free oil change and install the sat radio for free. I'm thinking cool.... but I know two people in service that's getting a serious butt chewing on this one from the G.M.!

good to hear things workout for you.last month my car due for the 1st oil change.i took her in,got a g35 sedan loaner.they did the oil change,fix the window rattle,wash & details the car (the guy who wash the car either got nothing to do all day or he's a car nut) and when i pick up my car they gave me 2 movie tickets.all that for free [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] my suggest is if you can, deal directly with service manager

We love both of our G'35s. Only problem with having two of these is when I think about any kind of mods for MY coupe, guess who wants them for HER sedan. Twice as much to spend and I'll give you one guess who pays for that! (She's worth it)
