Piece fell off of my car
So I was driving my car yesterday and I parked it in the parking lot and went into the store. When I was getting back into my car I noticed that the plastic piece that goes over the keylock hole on the outside of the car next to the handle was missing. Anyone ever hear of these falling off? Also does anyone know the part number for them and know if they come painted?
If it was the passenger side, it was probably stolen. A popular mod is to put the passenger side cover on the driver side to cover the keyhole. Don't know the part numbers, but yes they do come prepainted and no they don't just fall off.

they're pretty hard to pry off if you've ever taken one off.. they wont just fall off
someone probably stole it.. you can put it on the driver side so it does not have a keyhole..
its like $10-$15

FYI: Also known as an escutcheon.
They do come prepainted but I don't know the part number.
Maybe this will help:https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ght=escutcheon
An escutcheon is also an item of door furniture. In this case, it is an architectural item that surrounds a keyhole or lock cylinder. Escutcheons are mainly decorative: they draw the eye to the keyhole. However some help to protect a lock cylinder from drilling or snapping, and the surrounding area from wear

Oh ok... thank you all for the info. Does anyone know the part number for them? The driver side one was the one to come off.

Grubbs Infiniti here in TX doesn't even carry them. I bought one for my 07Serengeti Sand coupe.
Here is the Infiniti dealer selling them for the drivers side.

Not $10-$15.
