Talking G35 coupe' .... Rev-up or Not ?

im looking at some 05 coupes... prolly too expensive. i dont wanna pay any more then 24k. i like the new 19" rims and th auto shifter.

are they rev-ups? or is it only 06-07's ?

yup, that's what i thought too, 06 and up phased out the non-rev completely on the 5at and 6mt(i think).

Just look on autotrader.com - There are about 15 cars with the year and transmission you want in the $24-5K range. Not hard to find at all.

+1, autotrader is a great place to start, that's where i found my g.

if you're going to go with a manual, got for 05+ so you get the revup motor. sounds like a 2005 is what you're looking for. ie: its older so it should be cheaper than a 06/07.

'05 to '07 G's equipped with the 6MT have the RevUp engine.

Get an '04- the price will be a little cheaper, you'll get Brembos if you get a 6MT, and you'll get a non-revup engine which has more torque and less chance of the oil consumption problem occuring.

I thought I just had to have the rev-up engine. But I don't even go past 4KRPMs when I drive.

If you're into the racing, then get the rev-up engine.
