not really sure what the 30,000K service consist of. i have my own auto-repair shop, do a lot of stuff on my own (following the owner's serivce guide).
i THINK it's expensive because they have flushes, not sure if they do that to the radiator (you need to change your radiator fluid by 30k),but you may need a tranny flush. oil change, in-carbin air filter change, and not sure about the rest, but there's more!
i'm only at 14k on my car :P

There are a ton of posts done on the 30k service. You'll find some good info in there. there are a couple of different theories though on getting it done. some take it to nissan dealers, others do most of the work they can do and get the stuff done by the dealer they have to. Others fork over the money. there are also tons of threads on what everyone else has paid for their 30k service.

I've decided to have the following things done to my car by a local shop for $300, if anyone thinks this is too much let me know;
oil and filter (mobil one)
tranny flush and fluid change
differential fluid change
engine coolant flush
wheel balancing.
As far as the air filter, I have a K&N drop in that I'm just going to pull and clean and I'm going to do the cabin filer myself.

I don't really care how many posts you have or i have i am just pointing out that you could NOT have searched for 1 second. And my 11 billion posts even though they might be useless i have the ability to keep my eyes OPEN and realize when posts have floated around.
So you are saying that your 2** posts took a long time to acrue so with that said you've been around long enough to know how to search for things correct?
Anyhow good look on the 30k with your 05. I just broke that mark on my 03. If you don't spend the money you might be in a world of trouble seeing how hard you push yours

That's ridiculous. My '03 6mt has 50k on it, and all I've let them do is change oil every 3-4k and in-cabin filter twice. Flushes are nonsense at 30k unless you abuse.
I have had my brakes done, once by them when I forced them to cut my rotors instead of replace, and recently by an outside shop that installed the new rotors I got from tire rack.
If you look at the maintainance booklet provided by Infiniti, I don't believe it includes any of that crap. In most instances, it's just a profit center for the dealer...

Yes because labor rate at infiniti dealers are $70-$110 per hour. and keep in mind that you did buy a +$35,000 car.
Coolant Flush 1.0hr + parts + waste fee
Oil Change .5hr + parts + waste fee
Trans flush 1.0hr + parts + waste fee
Rear diff .5hr + parts + waste fee
air filter .3hr + parts
In cab filter .3hr + parts
a/c treatment 1.5hr + parts
labor = 5.1hr total at 70 an hour = 357 with out parts
Coolant Flush 1.0hr + parts + waste fee
Oil Change .5hr + parts + waste fee
