Pulled the trigger !! thoughts???
I've been looking at E46 BMW and had the chance to drive a G35 coupe and like it a lot.
I had a friend who has a dealer's license pick me up one today at a dealer's highline auction in So Cal.
I got a late build (Nov) 05 20,500 miles with premium package and 19's.
I got the car for 28k including all of his fees.
Downside potentially is the color, it's a Serengeti on graphite interior I know,,, I haven't even seen the color in person and I had him get it because it was super clean and one of only two manuals.
Can anyone reign in on that color and whether or not I should put a spoiler on it????????
Don't hold back. Also, did I get a decent price?

Its not a bad color, in fact it's probably the rarest color, at least where I live (Dallas).
Don't worry about what the forum thinks, especially on the color, that's totally up to your tastes.
The price seems OK if the car is in decent shape, not wrecked before, etc.

as long as there was no previous damage and it is in good standing condition it sounds ok, you should have had him check tire wear and normal wear and tear stuff to see how it was treated. Serengeti sand is a nice color

IMO...definitely put on a spoiler. It's gives the trunk a beefier look to it. Now the question is should you go with an 03-05' or 06' spoiler. Two totally different styles and just because you have 05', doesn't mean you have to go with that year's spoiler.
To give you an idea of the two:
2005:

2006

$28k OTD...it's a good price for an 05'. I'm sure if you took the time to look at all the classified ads, you might be able to find it for $1k +/- lower but it'd be from a private seller. Just make sure the car you purchased has warranty (which I'm sure it does) and possibly extended warranty.
