Re: Average 325- 350 Miles Per Gas Tank?
With a little over 4100 miles on my 6MT coupe, I've not had a tank go less than 400 miles yet regardless of how I drive it. I've mentioned it before in other threads, but no matter how I drive (aggressive or granny like) it still gets roughly the same gas mileage. However, the 99 Vette I had before would always get better mileage than the G35. The Vette engines are a masterpiece.

Re: Average 325- 350 Miles Per Gas Tank?
I got 350 miles on my first tank...just to see how far I could stretch it. I was extremely pleased that the gas mileage was better than my minivan's. Now I'm at 4k miles and I fill up when the odometer gets to 300 miles and the tank takes just under 15 gallons...so I'm estimating 20MPG as a daily driver. Not too shabby...considering I drive it like I stole it!!

Re: Average 325- 350 Miles Per Gas Tank?
One of the great benefits of having the NAVI package is having the Fuel Economy screen to gauge what I'm doing. When I'm cruising around @ 45mph in 4th, I see I'm getting about 20mpg, when I want to granny it around @45mph, I put it in 5th and see I get 29mpg. Same thing when cruising on the highway. Going 75mph in 6th gives 25mpg, going 80mph gives 19mpg...slight difference that allows me to conserve if I want to that I would've never known if I didn't have the Navigation Package.
I get the best of both worlds when I want it and still average 22.5mpg after 5500 miles. Worst tank was 19mpg, best was 24mpg.

Re: Average 325- 350 Miles Per Gas Tank?
I drive mostly highway miles...almost 90 miles both ways back and forth a day...I have been averaging about 20 mpg...sometimes 22. This isn't so bad for a performance car...My I35 had the same engine w/less horsepower (255), and that averaged around 25-27 mpg...so the trade off is not anything I consider to be bad...after 20,000 on my I35 I noticed an improvement in mileage as well so only time will tell...20ld4this

Your mileage is better than average bro. Most get less, some get much less.
I figure about 300 miles mixed driving, and having some 'fun', and about 400 miles on the hwy but at the speed limit only. This car's mileage sucks big time the faster you go.
But it sure is fun.........

Re: Average 325- 350 Miles Per Gas Tank?
Depends on a lot of factors. There are a bunch o' posts on the subject if you would care to do a small search.
Back in September I was seeing 323 miles, taking 13.48 gals and that gets it to just shy of 24mpg. Seemed pretty good.
The G is an AT coupe that had 4850 miles at the time running at 6k to 9k feet of altitude (home is at 7k). Have been using 91 octane since the beginning.
Today with 6700 miles on it I filled it again getting 333 miles taking 17 gals for about 19.5.
Lots of reasons for lower mileage it would seem this time: oxygenated fuel, much colder/cooler weather causing longer warmups and only occasional driving when the roads are clear of snow/ice/sand and temps above 20.
Figure both tanks were 30% hwy, 70% city.
Now if your complaining about this car's mileage, I'll drive yours as a winter beater and be happy with 19+. My '91 Ford F150 with a 302, 5 speed and 4" lift gets maybe 12-15 if I don't use four wheel drive much and keep the precision in the math low...
The truck is quite a contrast to the G. It's in fairly decent shape on the exterior, has a ton of miles, drives like a farm truck and has more knocks, noises, moans and groans that I don't even notice any of them specifically. Kind of adds character. Makes the G feel even better/quieter...
Gets around in the snow pretty good and I don't worry too much about it if others decide to play ping-pong on the slick roads and that takes much of the winter abuse off the G. I'll take the 12-15 this time of year and not complain.
You probably bought this car to have fun, right?
If you didn't and your absolutely disappointed with the MPG it's getting, don't complain, go get yourself something else to drive. Life is too short to be hung up on things like a couple of miles to the gallon on a sports er luxury car...

Re: Average 325- 350 Miles Per Gas Tank?
I got about 350+ from my trip from Philadelphia to Pittsburg, which is about 300 (294.7 exactly) miles trip. On a full tank I got home with over a quarter tank left. 275 highway miles the rest were streets and lights.

Re: Average 325- 350 Miles Per Gas Tank?
on a full tank of gas...driving normally, accelerating here and there, but mostly driving speed limit and cautiously...I did 295 miles (give or take a mile or two) on a full tank...
Seems ridicuously low
I think my ML430 has better gas mileage
