I taped up the front of my STi for the trip from Los Angeles to Dallas. If nothing else, it made the thousands of bugs I killed in New Mexico come off easier.

But seriously, it's a good idea and not difficult to do if you are going to be driving through long stretches of desert. Semi-trucks toss up a lot of sand and rock and you will get pegged when you pass them.

 

I am not **** enough to go through that ritual everytime I go on a few hundred mile trip. I get a clear-bra and hope for the best .
I do understand though especially if you have a car that you enter in shows etc.

 

I remember when I used to do long trips to car shows, many show cars on the road would have bug screens, bras, and blue painter's tape on their cars' front ends. I'm good with my bra. If I had a body kit and I was going on a long drive..then def. yes I would tape it up.

 

i read the whole s4 thing, i do love that car, but it wasted 20 minutes of my life, does give me some ideas tho

 

I was driving to work and heard a rock bounce of my hood onto the windshield. I guess if something is going to hit your car it will probably be when you least expect it.. Drive it have fun,

The trips is going to be tomorrow! Hopefully the paint dun peel off with the tape. Its 3M painter's tape I brought frmo Home Depot.
