Power Loss? or just getting used to the car?
really? I honestly didnt think it would make a big difference, 80% of the time I put the premium in, but once it got to $53 a tank I thought it would be ok to cut back a little, especially when i get 19mpg...
its recommended that we use 93
The engines are built for that particular octane amount, you may be saving a couple bucks but your hurting your engine in the long run
its not a big deal if youve done it a few times, but again, in the long run it will hurt your engine

89 octane wasnt good for an engine designed for 91. you probably saved a whopping $100 bucks in the gas difference per year and hurt your engine. I doubt its just that but you never know. Im sure all the loaner g35 sedans all ran 87, I know it put it in.
Wouldnt a lower octane just cause knocking? I read somewhere on this forum that our engines have knocking sensors and so engines running less octane will automatically adjust the timing. Anyway, I will be sure to keep it premium but my main question is if you guys ever got used to the power of your car and thought that it lost power?
