i have a questions...i have an 04 g35 coupe 6mt with about 32k mi on it and recently ive been hearing some weird noises when i turn off the engine. its like a clicking sound when i shut down the engine? i was wondering if anyone else hears this sound or has this prob? or if anyone can tell me what it is? thank you.

 

never heard it on my car, but if memory serves me correct from other post, the engine is close to failure

a slight clicking sound, that gets louder if you move your ear towards the engine or the exhuast?

its simply the metal that has heated up cooling off, every single car makes the noise if u pay close enough attention to it.

 

It could also be the throttle valve. It closes and clicks a bit within about 10 seconds after shutting then engine off.

How loud is this sounds, how long does it last, and have you done any mods recently?

the clicking sound is pretty noticeable and its coming from the front of the car.
no i havnt done any mods to it yet. its all stock. and it only last like a few seconds

 

Sound like the throttle valve closing.

You may need to re-calibrate it.
