Black center console looks better!!
Is it just me or others also think that the standard black center trim looks better than the silver trim that comes with 6-speed or the auto with 18" wheel package ($600 is a bargain BTW). The silver trim makes the interior look so cheap and cheezy!! The black trim creates much better overall balance with a touch of elegance. I'm going to get a G35 with auto. Although I really like the optional 18" wheel package, I hate the silver trim so much that I might actually settle with the standard 17".

I have a black on black coupe 6 speed... the silver looks fine. They could have used real metal (my wife has a Jeep Libery and they did a good job on the metal accents), but you will definately want the 18" wheels. Anything less would be a crime.

Yeah, I like the slick black also. The all aluminum dash I must agree looks sort of tacky, better looking in the A/T's with minor parts aluminized like the shifter console and door handles..
As for the dash kits.. IMO i wouldn't get them. they will look degrading to the interior as they make the dash look like theirs another layer on top of the regular layer, cheezy!

i wanted the black center, but i didnt want to lose the limited slip diff, or 18 in wheels.
i was originally going to post a trade for my titanium, but it grows on you, now i like it. i have the graphite int. it breaks up all the blackness.
one thing i'm not positive about is the limited slip diff.
if you dont order the 18's you might end up with a single burner.

m1dtom: I was wondering if you happened to have pictures of your car. I am ordering on Monday, and am having trouble deciding between DG/graphite or Blk/graphite...would love to see pictures of a Blk/graphite. thanks...

I definitely agree with you. I have the willow interior, and it comes with the matte darker grey instead of the crappy plastic silver crap. What I did was, I ordered the premium pkg (which is an absolute must for this car) and get the 17's. And then, if your really want the 18s, just work with your saleman. Someone within your allocation is going to order the 18s, but they plan on putting on aftermarket wheels on right away and the dealer will credit them. And if your lucky, they will give you the set for $600 + your set of 17s. I had this option, but I decided to go with 20s anyways. And trust me, the 18s are nice, but after awhile they start to look mediocre as well. Plus I am hearing they are having problems with pieces chipping off of them.

I faced the same dilemma as you, Lux. I too think the casio wristwatch dash looks horrible, but $600 for 18"s and LSD is a good deal. The decision was made easier for me because a dealer had the coupe I wanted without the wheel package available right on the lot, whereas I'd have to order one with the wheels. With hindsight, if I had to wait months to get my G either way, I'd probably get the wheel package and glue on stuff to cover the ugly dash. I mean, the wheels you can do yourself for a little more cash, but you miss out on the LSD. That's the real loss. Other people have suggested that you might be able to trade the Casio dash for the black dash online (supposedly some people want the dash but not the wheels, go figure). If you're not getting the navigation unit, which also has bits of trim on it, a dash swap might be feasible. You're not getting mine though.

I like the titanium-colored console. However, it does look better with the graphite interior. The titanium doesn't look right in a willow interior.
