Don't you hate it when people ask you "Why did you paint you calipers orange?" I can't take it anymore!

 

think of it as an opportunity to educate them...

 

funny i've owned my car since 04 and i've never had that happen to me.

 

I've had folks ask me how much they were to have installed. As for orange, nope.

Err.... I have an '04 myself and my Brembo's look gold to me so I gotta ask ... why'd you get yours painted orange?

 

Yup, people ask how much and all that, but I can stand it when they say "I would've painted them in red." I love the contrast of the Brembos and Laser Red!

Tons of people have commented on them, but I've never had anyone ask me if they were aftermarket or imply that.

lol...nobody has ever asked me either. But I've had people ask me if I have a V10 in there though...lol.

Haven't gotten that one yet but have been complimented on them. only time i ever talk to somebody about my brakes is usually someone who has enough sense to know better.....lol.

 

I told him with a serious face...yea, it's a v10.

 

I was in the parking lot with my boss & he is such a know it all smartass....anyway he looks at my car & says "I know those brakes aren't OEM, they must have cost a fortune" I said uhhh yea actually they are OEM. The sad thing is, I work in the automotive Industry. You would think he would keep up

 

not trying to hijack, put i just put brembo on my 05, im getting a squeek in the front, did i do something wrong, im using all oem parts, rotors pads etc. will those shims help?
