CLK55's puts out 362hp at the crank. I have 359 to the rear wheels.
Objects in mirror will soon disappear...

That's not even a fair comparsion for situation at hand. Base on his situation it doesn't seem like he's going to mod his car and you never mentioned a boost. Should never compare a modded car to stock. A civic can smoke a Ferrari but that's apples and oranges. Btw nice car.
You have the procharger I assume, how's it working for you. Any reliability problems? How you get around the warranty or just forget about it.

Re: CLK320 vs 6MT
I went from a Lexus SC 400 (the model now replaced by the 430) to my G35 coupe. Had a new M-B CLK 500 on order, but the G35 is so much more fun.
I have not regretted my purchase.

03 Coupe; 5AT; dG/Graphite; luxury and performacne packs (with chrome OEM wheels); aluminum pedals; clear corners; party debadged

Why is it unfair to compare a modded vs stock car when it's fair to compare a $70k car to a $32k car?
<hr></blockquote>
If that is okay then I guess you have no problem comparing a heavily modded civic to a stock G35. Like this one,
http://www.cheesefrog.com/modules.ph...view_album.php
430 WHP Civic Hatchback + 75hp for nitrous. Then he's gonna say Ahh Ha, my civic kicks your G35.
Lets say he got the hatchbox used for 7k put 20k worth of mod on it and claim its cheaper than G yet faster. If I were a G driver I'd tell him to take his civic and shove it and still drive my G. Do you see why I say it isn't fair to compare moded car against a stock?

Re: CLK320 vs 6MT
CLK series has a horrible reputation for reliability - this is from Consumer Reports (about the only category I pay attention to CR about when it comes to cars, then again their reliability ratings aren't their own - it's feedback from owners!)
Benz in general has slipped in overall build quality in many lines - yes, they still have very beautiful and luxurious cars, and the AMG models are animals. But if you hang out on Benz forums, you will note a surprising amount of Benz owners complaining of build issues and worse. They definitely don't make 'em like they used to. (I still love those CL's though - beautiful cars and the AMG model is one of my dreamcars.)
But Infiniti's reliability is on another level compared to Benz - a better one. The new CLK's look nicer than the previous edition - but they are not close to as reliable as G35's.
As to the G owner who says he can smoke a CL55 - yeah, sure. (even with FI that might not be possible. CL55's can fly - and if they are Renntech-modded, forget it!!!) And I am talking about on the strip - if you're racing on the street stay away from me. Take it to the track.
